C17 Globemaster III style MULTIFUNCTION DISPLAY
Multifunction Display based on the look and feel of the MFD in McDonnell Douglas C17 Globemaster III aircraft.
Features:
· Artificial Horizon
Displays traditonal ground and sky pitch areas, pitch and bank scales, slip indicator, and
pitch limit indicators (when flaps are retracted). And optional Flight Path vector can be
displayed (set via a .cfg option). The current radio height is displayed at the bottom of
the horizon when the radio height is less than 2500 ft.
· Speed tape and window
Displays moving speed tape, and current airspeed window, a speed trand vector (optional via .cfg setting).
A speed bug symbol is displayed when in range of the speed tape, and a digital speed bug is displayed at the top.
· Altitude tape and window
Displays moving altitude tape, and current altitude window, an altitude bug symbol is displayed
when in range of the altitude tape, and a digital altitude bug is displayed at the top.
· Heading Arc
Displays a sliding 60 degrees heading tape at the bottom, a heading bug symbol is displayed when in range
of the tape. A digital heading bug is displayed at the left and right sides when out of range.
· Vertical Speed
Displays current vertical speed via a white vector line. The digital vert speed is also
displayed above and below the VSI (in even hundreds).
· Flight Mode annunciator
Displays current autopilot or FMS Flight Modes.
· Localizer / Glideslope scale
Displays current Localizer scale when the tuned Nav1 radio is a Localzier.
A glideslope scale is displayed when the tuned Nav1 radio has a glideslope.
· Tuned radio
Displays the ident, course, and dme of currently tuned Nav radio.
· Warning annunciators
Displays 'TERRAIN', 'STALL', 'OVERSPEED', 'DH' annunciators when conditions are met.
Displays in Normal, expanded and Fuel modes.
· Flight Plan/Route track display
Displays active flight plan route track and waypoints, aircraft heading oriented (Fwd,Ctr,Aft) map modes,
or North oriented lat/lon grid chart mode.
· HSI compass Rose, and Arc modes
Displays ILS/approach or route NAV information in Map, compass, and ARC modes.
· TOC/TOD display
Displays FMC calculated top of climb, top of descent positions.
· Airports/ Navaids Display
Displays nearby VOR's, NDB's, and /or Airports when the NVAD,APRT modes are turned on.
· FIR/ARTCC boundary display
Displays nearby ARTCC/FIR Air traffic control boundaries.
· TCAS display
Display nearby TCAS targets, and RA/TA alerts in Map modes.
· Reference FIX information
Displays in Map mode FMS specified reference Navaid/fix position, range arc, and radial relative
to aircraft's current location.
· EFIS control panel
An EFIS control panel gauge is included to allow setting of the various Navigation Display modes.
· Engine Modes
Displays in Normal, expanded and Fuel modes.
· Config
Displays in configuration of aircraft (flaps, Gear,ailerons, elevators, spoilers).
